Kathleen Dennis, Director

Kathleen currently serves as Director of the Mill Creek Watershed Association. Always attuned to the natural world, Kathleen spent many hours biking the back-roads to the rivers, woods and streams in her childhood home in Northwest Ohio. Her love of nature fueled her interest in pursuing her degree in Biology and a PhD in Neuroscience. Her research focused on gene-environmental interactions associated with brain development and neurodegeneration. An interest to return to her “biological roots” informed her decision to volunteer with the MCWA organization in late 2015. She assumed the Director position in 2018 and is interested in building the organization, promoting community awareness of the importance of sustainable development and the preservation of the natural heritage of the Mill Creek watershed for future generations.

Gretchen Anderson | Mill Creek Watershed Association

Gretchen Anderson, Treasurer/Secretary

Gretchen Anderson is an avid environmentalist, growing up adoring nature at her childhood home adjoining Fall Creek Falls State Park.  As a youngster, she learned the importance of land conservation hearing the stories of how Fall Creek Falls State Park came into being. The importance of this action influenced her lifestyle, including support for conservation and preservation efforts along Mill Creek where Gretchen and her family have lived since August 1990.  She brings to the MCWA her skills as a former Public Affairs Officer and operations analyst at the Tennessee Air National Guard, where she retired after thirty seven years of honorable service. A former member of Tennessee Trails and a Forever Member of Friends of Fall Creek Falls State Park, Gretchen is especially dedicated to the preservation of Mill Creek's beautiful headwaters.

Micah Hargrove | Mill Creek Watershed Association

Micah Hargrove

Raised in rural middle Tennessee, Micah Hargrove has an affinity for the natural environment and a passion to protect it!  His contributions to MCWA include advocacy, stream cleanups, weed wrangles, tree plantings, and reviewing development plans.  He works as a licensed landscape architect and leads his firm, Hargrove Design Studio.  Micah holds an MLA from LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and a BA from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.
